Ajay Devgn‘s movie Raid 2 is creating waves at the box office. The film has managed to turn out to be one of the highest grossing movies of this year so far. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 also features Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in key roles. The film released on May 1 and since then has been ruling the box office. The first instalment was a hit and the second one has turned out to be even a bigger success. Here’s a report of its first week box office business.
As per a report in Sacnilk.com, Ajay Devgn, Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh starrer made around Rs 4.50 crore at the box office on its day 7. The movie has witnessed a slight dip in numbers. Yet it is holding strong. On day 6, Raid 2 made around Rs 7 crore. Even on first Monday (day 5), the film saw good footfalls as it made around Rs 7.5 crore at the box office. On day 4, i.e., first Sunday, Ajay Devgn’s fans showed up in heavy numbers and its box office collection soared to Rs 22 crore. On day 3, i.e., first Saturday, Raid 2 earned approximately Rs 18 crore. The day collection of the film was around Rs 12 crore. The first day collection of Ajay Devgn’s crime thriller was Rs 19.25 crore. Thus, the total collection of the film stands at Rs 90.25 crore. It is anticipated that the film will cross the Rs 100 crore mark with its India Net Collection by the end of its second weekend.
Raid 2 has successfully managed to become one of the top grossers in Ajay Devgn’s filmography. While it has managed to beat his film Shaitaan, Raid 2 hasn’t been able to surpass the numbers of Drishyam 2.
