UP man makes reel as train passes over him, arrested after getting viral

A troubling trend has emerged among some young individuals seeking fame on social media platforms, as they cross all safety boundaries and take absurdly dangerous measures, all for viral content.
In an attempt to make his Instagram reel viral, a social media influencer laid on track and allegedly shot a video as the train passed over him.
Thereafter, the reel went viral which sparked public outrage, and eventually landed him in jail.
The incident took place near Kusumbhi railway station, in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh.
In the video footage, it can be seen that a man lies on his stomach and while placing his mobile on tracks. As the train seemingly passes over him, the video captures the bottom of the train for a few seconds which looks visibly edited.
Then, the influencer gets up in slow motion, brushes himself off and walks away, with the background score of a Shah Rukh Khan movie in the background.
As Government Railway Police (GRP) got to know about his actions and recognised that the video is garnering traction online.
The man has been identified as Ranjeet Chaurasia, from Nyotani village in Hasanganj, Unnao.
In a media report, the arrest has been confirmed by Unnav Inspector, Arvind Pandey by saying, “We registered a case as soon as we saw the video. The man was identified, arrested, and sent to jail. Anyone found blocking or misusing railway tracks for stunts will face strict legal action.”
